What has been published?
Migration Queensland has published its 2026–27 State Nominated Migration Program settings, with updated pathways, eligibility criteria, occupation lists and supporting-document requirements. Registrations of Interest are scheduled to open on 6 November 2026. The announcement specifies an opening date; it does not establish an opening time.
Which pathways are listed?
Pathways include skilled workers onshore and offshore, building and construction workers, Queensland university graduates and small-business owners in regional Queensland. The small-business pathway is for subclass 491 only. Eligibility must be checked against the current page for the particular pathway.
Prepare before the opening
For onshore candidates, lodge the 2025–26 tax return and receive the corresponding ATO Notice of Assessment before submitting an ROI. Prepare the pathway-specific employment and residence evidence, a valid skills assessment, English evidence and a current SkillSelect EOI. Use the official documentation checklist to identify the supporting records that apply to your circumstances.
What this announcement does not establish
A published program and future ROI opening are not an invitation, nomination or visa grant. No comparable occupation-level invitation totals or minimum invited scores were identified in the announcement and materials checked for this brief. Inclusion on an occupation list is not an invitation threshold or a guarantee of selection.
